Stafford Outfitters, an initiative that began in 2005, is a department store cooperative intended to be located in Stafford. The Stafford Outfitters Steering Committee, along with its Board of Directors, has already completed many of the tasks required for a department store startup. These tasks include a feasibility study, business plan, board formation, and incorporation.

The Stafford Outfitters Steering Committee is seeking volunteers to work a few hours a month assisting with other aspects of the project, such as our share campaign, staff recruiting, and site development. Together, we can create a department store that not only meets the shopping needs of our community, but also identifies itself as the first department store cooperative in the state.
